To Students 

Course selection is one of the most important choices that a student can make. Please think carefully about your future and make every attempt to choose courses that will assist you in meeting your goals. Taking a variety of courses that will challenge you academically will give you many more options upon graduation from high school. 

Students often think in terms of the immediate and not about the future. Many are not sure about attending a university or community college and therefore do not push themselves in high school. As these students mature, either during high school or after graduation, they often find that educational or career opportunities are limited. Therefore we ask you to think in more broad terms of your future personal and professional aspirations. 

This book contains the Brewer High School course of studies. Talk with your guidance counselor and teachers about it. Spend some time discussing it with your parents in regard to your goals and aspirations for the future. Good luck in the choices that you make. We hope that you have made wise decisions. Select your courses carefully now so you will have the schedule you want in September. Please keep in mind that your schedule selection will not be effective unless you make a commitment and give it your very best effort. 

Success at Brewer High School, or in any school, involves students making good decisions. This includes making every effort to study for your classes and keep up with your assignments given by your teachers. It means being committed to attending school and being on time for your classes. It involves following school rules and treating others with kindness and respect. If you can make these choices, you will find success at our school and will be well on your way to meeting the goals you have set for your life.
