Distribution of Ipads, Chromebooks, and Band Instruments
Grades 5-8
Good Afternoon Everyone,
I hope that you are all doing well during these difficult times. As we move into the second phase of our school department’s remote learning, teachers will be reaching out to students and families to provide more specific, grade-level opportunities for their students. These opportunities will be updated weekly and students will need a device to access the majority of the resources and activities online. We would like to offer an opportunity for students in grades 5-8 to pick up an Ipad (grades 7 & 8), a Chromebook (grades 5 & 6), and their band instrument if it was left at school. I would encourage you to only pick up a device if your student does not have access to one at home. If you do not have internet access currently, Spectrum is offering it free for 60 days. The number to access this free service is 1-844-488-8395. The following will be the pick up schedule;
Grades 7 & 8 - Thursday 3/26 - from 8:00 - 10:00
Grades 5 & 6 - Friday 3/27 - from 8:00 - 10:00
The procedure will be to pull up in the parent drop off circle and remain in your vehicle. A staff member will come to you and you will provide your student’s name, grade, and whether or not you are picking up a band instrument in addition to a device, or just a band instrument. If you are not able to make it to one of the scheduled pick up times please call the BCS office between 9:00 and 12:30, Monday through Friday, to make alternative arrangements.
