Brewer High School

Brewer High School senior Ryan Young has been named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. Ryan qualified based on his scores on the Preliminary SAT/NMSQT assessments that he took last fall. The next step is an application to be considered as a finalist. Each finalist must have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, be endorsed and recommended by a high school official, write an essay, and earn SAT or ACT scores that confirm the student's earlier performance on the qualifying test. Finalists will be named in February. A second Brewer High student, Swaroop Handral, was recognized as a Commended Student. Congratulations to both Ryan and Swaroop. Go Witches!
