
Hi BCS! We are very excited to announce that our annual “Open House” will take place on the evening of Monday, August 28th. Students in grades PK, 1, 3, 5, and 7 may visit classrooms from 5:00-6:00 and students in grades K, 2, 4, 6, and 8 may visit classrooms from 6:00-7:00. Please be on the lookout for more information about this event and the upcoming school year in the next few weeks. We hope you enjoy the last few weeks of summer and we look forward to seeing you soon!


Happy Summer BCS Families! The lost and found has been sorted and will be available to you on Friday June 22nd in the front lobby, we will keep it out until Friday June 30th at which time all remaining items will be donated.
Our office hours for the summer are 8am-3pm Monday through Friday. We will be closed the week of July 3rd-7th.

Good Afternoon BCS Families! There's been a forecasted break in the rain and our field days (K-8) and Block Party (Grades 5-8) have been rescheduled to Monday, June 12th.
Due to this schedule change, Friday June 9th will now be a RED color day for K-5.

Hi BCS! Next week is our annual teacher and staff appreciation week here at BCS! As a part of our celebration, we plan to start the week on Monday by sharing messages of gratitude. We invite students and families who wish to participate to send a positive note, picture, card, or any other gesture of thanks to let staff members know how much you appreciate them! When necessary, the Brewer School Department applies specific herbicides
and pesticides for both weed and insect control. Weather permitting, Green Thumb Lawn Service will be performing the weed and insect control application to the BCS and BHS athletic fields on Sunday, April 30, 2023 with a rain date of Sunday, May 7, 2023. Please observe all postings, and keep off all treated areas during the application and until dry. The weed control being applied is Chaser (EPA Registration No. 34704-928). The fertilizer & grub management being applied is 22-0-5 (EPA Registration No. 100-1492-82757). The insecticide being applied is Bisect L (EPA Registration No. 34704-955). Hi BCS! Just a reminder that all month long, Hannaford in Brewer will donate $1 from each community bag sold to our school!


Next week April 10-14 is Spirit Week!

Brewer School Department and AOS#47 hosted a session with Maine Learning Technology Initiative (MLTI) called "Left to Their Own Devices." It has a lot of important information about keeping our youth safe in the digital world while also helping them to learn how to be positive role models and leaders there as well. Happy February, BCS! Today is World Read Aloud day AND the first day of the #ReadtoME Challenge, which is sponsored by the Maine Dept. of Education. Reading aloud to/with children provides a bonding experience, helps build knowledge and vocabulary, and reading aloud to child 15 minutes a day adds up to over 5,400 minutes of language exposure in just one year!
